GENESIS 4/14/2018

accurately the Lord let us peek into their future and character.

But for now let us leave with the understanding that the Lord HAS always and STILL always looked at the heart of each and every individual He knows to determine His promotion. As He told Samuel when He was about to anoint David, “Do not look at his countenance or at the height of his stature because I have refused him!” Referring to David’s brother Eliab, “For the LORD does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1st Samuel 16:7)

Therefore:   Abel was chosen over Cain
Joshua and Caleb were chosen over the other 10 spies, no matter their rank, birthright or position
                      Jacob was chosen over Esau
                        Ephraim was chosen over Manasseh
                        Moses was chosen over Aaron
Jeroboam was chosen over everyone else in the ten tribes that split, no matter their man-given rank and esteem

So as we go through this week, let’s remember that although man looks at the outward appearance,  the LORD looks at the heart. And truly knows everyone’s motive! And when we prayerfully tap into His wisdom, we can see that too and wouldn’t that make life easier and less critical, more compassionate and just entirely more Godly! Blessings everyone!

SHALOM!
